Visual studio 17 lnk1112 error module machine type 'arm' conflicts with target machine type 'x64'2/13/2024 ![]() ![]() intel fortran compiler (both IA32 and emt64) microsoft Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable 64bit microsoft visual studio 2005 (full installation, so with the 64bit part) I have a 64 bit machine and have installed: On the contrary to Alan I get a "fatal error LNK1112: module machine type 'X86' conflicts with target machine type '圆4'" Im all out of ideas now and might consider changing my course if i'm unable to understand this setup process by the time the first assignment is given. The Abaqus instructions are rather sketchy and only gives info on what version of compiler should be used. That didnt work, so i tried installing freeglut.dll into Windows/System32 and /Windows/SysWOW64. Some things i did by following my course instructions were to copy over a dll file called GLUT32.dll into my Windows/SysWOW64 folder. However, the exact same issue stating that the module was x86 still showed up.Ģ) From my second day of googling, i tried changing properties of the project by right clicking, then going to advanced > Configuration properties > preferred build tool architecture > 32 bit (x86). Then, i tried adding an additional dependency to the linker to point to 'glut.lib' which i thought was a 64 bit library. I tried changing configuration manager to x86 but the error still said my target machine type was 圆4. I have been googling for solutions for 2 days now and have not found a solution.ġ) From my first day of googling, seemed like the library I was trying to use 'glut32.lib' was a 32 bit library while my visual studio project is 64 bits. I have just started a course which uses visual studio 2019 and am immediately being faced with some issues compiling an example program. ![]()
